Chloé Hills

Drexel faculty mentor: Jennifer Johnson Kebea, Ed.D

Chloé Hills is a second year legal studies student with an interest in identifying and addressing the root causes of immigration and human rights issues. During the summer of 2016, Chloe volunteered at a law firm that helps refugees fleeing persecution seek asylum in the U.S., which galvanized her interest in advocacy for immigrant and refugee groups. As a Drexel Community Scholar, she works alongside the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition, an advocacy organization that works with immigrants to build meaningful relationships that will empower new citizens to vote, to advocate for their basic human rights, and to build a collective voice within their communities across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. As a Newman Civic Fellow, Chloe is eager to connect with mentors and leaders who will help her become a stronger leader and work with other student leaders and advocates to collaborate on key issues, particularly in regards to immigration and human rights. 

In addition to her work on these issues, Chloe is a peer leader for the First Year Exploratory Studies program and member of the Drexel Women's Rowing team. She plans to attend law school following graduation from Drexel.
